Role
Future Advocacy’s Brussels office is seeking a Research, Advocacy and Communications Intern. This is a great opportunity to be thrown in at the deep end in a small, dynamic organisation with a major focus on team and personal development. The successful candidate will quickly develop a range of skills, including research, advocacy, writing, and communications. They will work closely with our small and energetic team.
Terms and Conditions
- Salary: €1300/month + €55 travel allowance, lunch vouchers, personal hospitalisation insurance reimbursement and full desk set up
- Contract: 6 months, Full-Time
- Hours: 38 hours per week, Monday-Friday
- Location: Brussels (we work flexibly with around 2 days per week together in the office with the rest from home)
- Start date: as soon as possible
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting advocacy and strategic communications work
- Researching key issues relating to consultancy projects
- Supporting business development
- Overseeing social media
- Other tasks as required
Skills and experience
Essential
- Strong academic performance in a relevant undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience that demonstrates high quality research, writing, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in advocacy, campaigning or communications (paid or voluntary)
- Some experience in working with EU institutions
- A commitment to bring positive social change
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Great attention to detail
- Digital skills and knowledge of social media
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Enthusiasm, flexibility, and ability to manage competing priorities
- Willingness to undertake routine admin tasks
Desirable
- Ability to represent the organisation to high level individuals
- Design skills
