Our international lunch yesterday at Sam's Cafe—a hidden gem of a sunny courtyard spot between Remigiuskirche and Rathausgasse—was a wonderful and truly international gathering.
Thanks to Anna Samodova’s initiative, members and newcomers from diverse national and personal backgrounds accepted the invitation. English quickly emerged as the common language, even though Italian, Spanish, Russian, and German were also spoken.
What was exciting was that we had employees, job seekers, and freelancers all participating—as well as some who switch between these different roles or combine them. And who jet back and forth between different countries or work remotely from here. Whether it’s advising young women in Kenya or providing agricultural consulting in the EU.
We’re especially curious about the newly opened international restaurant Jambambo in Godesberg, which is run by a former EZ consultant and also offers nutrition coaching. As you can see, straightforward résumés are out!
